Simple solutions are better solutions. I use this to connect multiple Corsair, Seasonic and be quiet! Power supplies for a variety of uses, from powering a fan kit to blow out the dust my CNC and laser cutters create, to fans used in a custom Mac mini rack. Typical exhaust fans are very noisy, so instead of the standard options I went with a fan stack with Noctua and am silent 120-140mm fans. With a SATA powered PWM hub, this connector allows me to keep the hub online and run the fans at full speed while the CNC and laser cutter are running. On a custom Mac mini rack, this allows me to run an SFX power supply in the rack case and pull the air intake all the way to the base of the Mac mini, which forces the exhaust air out through the back faster.
