Too aggressive.: Spare batteries and parts

Roller goes great with my DC17 but sounds like a floor planer. I'm afraid it will damage my floor. I'm turning off the brush until I get a Dyson OEM brush.

Easy to install with a wide screwdriver

Fits and works just as well as the original brush. The additional drive belt is useful because belts stretch and wear more often than brushes/bearings.

Dyson repair at Replacement Batteries & Parts

Call Dyson 800 first and they will help you with the repair. Always have spare belts and pulleys on hand. Once you have the belt and/or pulley installed it will be easier next time.

Wow what a difference.

Installation was easy. A huge improvement over our vacuum cleaner. I read several reviews that said "they rattled". what ours have done. Install a new pulley and belt. Wow what a difference. 100% satisfied. The kit includes a strap 8mm, factory 10mm, have not had any problems yet.

Not ideal for vacuuming and floor care

Bought a new roller and belt as the old one was making excessive noise and the brushes were worn. The new reel is still very noisy and I have found that the end caps can just be lifted off the bearings where the OEs are tight. Also, there is a brush where it rubs against the crossbar when it starts to move.

Fits and works best in straps

I have a 13 year old Dyson and I bought it to complete the overhaul I was doing on it. The part fitted well, but the drive belts supplied were a bit small. I contacted the seller and he immediately sent me the correct belt sizes. The only reason I plan on not buying this again is that I should probably buy a new Dyson, but if you're cheap as I am, buy it and hopefully it will last another 13 years.

Not the best replacement for the original.

This product looks like an exact replacement for the original Dyson scooter but is much lighter. Lightweight plastic seems to vibrate and rattle unlike the original part. It was reasonably priced and came with two extra straps. It works well but be aware that it makes a lot of noise when in use. The product is ok for the low price I paid, but I will consider paying the extra bucks for an exact replacement part from the manufacturer next time.

Not recommended! for vacuum cleaner parts and accessories

I do not recommend this THinkCrucial replacement brush roll. The plastic is less dense than the original roller, leading to faster wear at the point where the roller attaches to the vacuum cleaner. The replacement roller was fine when installed, but about a month after installation it began to vibrate and became louder. I swapped the reel mounts (left to right and right to left) and the reel returned to its original noise level, which took about a month before it started making noise again. The

UPDATE: The misaligned bristles eventually destroyed 2 of the lid's crossbars (although I cut them, they were still damaged as the lid pressed against the tabs as it hit the bottom). The straps also only lasted about 20 uses and then stretched, making it sound like a box of rocks as the reel spun. Created many more problems than these fixed very temporarily. 1st Verification: The original order was bent at the belt crossing in the 1st bend. Thought the gluing process was bad? The replacement…
