They were only $4 and didn't state the size but compared to everything else they looked like I had to 'shrink' them down to the size I wanted. My fault! I don't know how to "before" cut them to the size I need.

I managed to buy two sets cheaper than in car dealerships. Use LOCTITE high performance adhesive sealant to ensure waterproofing and make it harder to remove stolen license plates!

I have other license plate plugs and they come with a threaded washer that secures the cap. Not like this. They come with a cheap, brittle plastic snap washer that is too small for standard hex screw heads and will warp during installation. For the bottom holes I used smaller head screws to keep the lock washer from warping, but even so the snap-on reflective caps came loose when I first got to work. Do not buy. Look for those that have threaded washers that you can screw caps onto.

They are smaller in diameter than those available at auto parts stores, they have a built in screw, but they fit perfectly in my motorcycle's license plate frame. They look great and reflect the light well. My only concern is the strength of the plastic backing. It's quite flimsy and I think if you overtighten the screw/bolt the plastic might crack. You need to make sure the head of the screw/bolt is big enough to "fill" the entire recess (or use a washer) without deforming it so this doesn't…
