Holds securely to a solid surface

This can opener works great and is a lot of fun! I would imagine there could be problems if the can opener is not securely mounted upright and level with a counter, solid wood post or other solid surface. We've been using it regularly for a few months now and haven't had any of the issues noted in some reviews. It's easy to use for people with arthritis and a great entertainment tool for the grandkids.

Pros
  • Disappears beautifully

Rivet broke after 1 week of use

Not the smoothest application (lots of play left and right when lowering the handle) and the rivet broke shortly afterwards. Also, the base began to wear out with use (began to sag due to the thin metal). A NOTICE. Only used for 12 oz. Aluminum cans so the design had to hold up much better. Obviously just cheap material and bad design. There is a suspicion that it could be made from recycled aluminum cans. Very surprised by the high ratings for this product given my experience.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Can take damage

Disposal Mist Accessory

We've added this along with our recycle bin to make more room for all the cans we use in a week. It has holes so you can easily mount it on the wall. Crushing cans is easy - just make a small dent in it and then use a pen to get the job done. Our little ones can. The only complaint is that the mechanism is not very smooth. After crushing the can and raising your hand, it will be like scratching metal. So far 6 months without problems

Works great: Special tools and gadgets

Installed on July 9th, so been using for about 2 weeks. Easy to install, make sure you have a stud in the wall. Bought a 16 ounce grinder which works great with 12 and 16 ounce cans. First we press the banks, this is much easier. After about a week, the lever began to resist returning to its original position. I had to return it to its original position very carefully several times, but I didn't see anything bent or out of place. It was rough a few times but has been working fine ever since.

Pros
  • Many will do
Cons
  • Some difficulties

My first can crusher!

But I used can crushers before. You can use the equipment provided. I have made. Screw them into a needle. Well, mid two. Two on the sides I used other anchors. A month later, the breaker began to fall out of the wall. Solution: Obtain a pair of long anchor bolts that fit the pre-drilled holes, or drill holes for larger anchor bolts. There are also two of the strongest looking anchors available at your local hardware store. Drill a stud and anchor holes, then attach the breaker to the wall. A…
