🥤 Jumbo Pack of 500 Crystalware 7 3/4-Inch Black Plastic Straws Review

So I ordered these straws and now I have straws for life, only they are thinner than I was hoping for. Ok for my needs but just not what I wanted when I ordered 1000 straws 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️They are black so far, good for mixed drinks but I won't be able to use them for smoothies. The length is good, I mean does anyone really need more than 7 3/4 inches? And imo, the durability has yet to be tested - I'll let you know after I put one of these babies through the lid -

These straws are almost as essential to my morning coffee as the Marquis de Lafayette was at the start of the French Revolution. His skillful use of American peers like Thomas Jefferson to write a declaration of human and civil rights is as skillful as using straws to suck on a delicious morning coffee. Those straws definitely don't deserve to be thrown in a French prison with British writer Thomas Paine. No, they deserve to be in a delicious cocktail.

I mean straws. The pre-purchase reviews helped as I knew what I was really getting. My opinion. Black is not deep black, but "good". The plastic might be a bit "thin" compared to what you'd get in a decent restaurant, but it's serviceable. Suitable for all cold drinks, but probably not for very thick smoothies. Not sure about hot drinks yet! Not "Jumbo" in size, as in the description and on the packaging. Just a hair shorter than 7 3/4 inches. For the price they will work for my intended needs.

I gave it 5 stars because it met my expectations. However, the packaging was very disappointing. The box was damaged and taped shut, which was necessary to keep the top flap closed. Although the straws didn't look damaged they were just lying loose in the box not the plastic bag and as it's a drinking straw I'm concerned about what they might be exposed to. If not for the time it takes to get them back I would have opted for the hassle of rescuing and washing them instead.
