I bought it because I've been using the smaller version for 15 years. The wrench holds up well and still works great, but my new car uses a different size filter. This new wrench is built the same way, so I look forward to many years of service. These strap wrenches are great for working in tight spaces as you can use a long extension by attaching it to the ratchet.

Excellent wrench for oil filters. I had a smaller wrench and it worked great so I bought this one. I use it with a 3/8" ratchet and extension. Although this filter is only recommended for 87-95mm (3-7/16" to 3-3/4") diameter oil filters, it doesn't matter.
