CTA Tools 8840 Lock Pliers Review

I bought them specifically to open a pair of permanently sealed headlights. They worked great for my purpose. The tool is of good quality and easy to use.

I bought these to remove the snap rings from a jeep transfer case. It uses special Eaton locking rings with no holes. They're great for the price. This particular style of snap ring pliers is hard to come by. There are very expensive ones (Knipex) that are too expensive for a job. These are reasonable for the price and of good quality. highlighted.

Need a tool to remove the snap ring from a 55 VW crankshaft. Couldn't find anything at the local auto parts store. Revain had this tool for a reasonable price so I bought it. You can tell that it's not a professional tool, the workmanship is rather rough, the knurling on the working end is rather boring. But I will use it twice in my life I think. I could even tweak it with a file if I wanted to. But out of the box everything worked for me.
