came broken in the box and unusable. This was supposed to be a present for my sister in law, very embarrassed that she opened it to find the handle had cracked in half!

Don't get me wrong, the kettle works as it should to boil water. The damn thing whistles like it's whispering. You will hear a whistling cauldron.

I think this is a very pretty red kettle and it looks great in my kitchen. I just received it so I haven't cleaned it yet. The whistle is loud so you can hear it. The handle is a little wobbly but I can ask my husband to tighten the screw.

Sigh. Why can't anyone make a beautiful enamelled teapot that will last and work properly? We love the shape and look of this kettle, but the handle gets hot, requiring you to use an oven mitt. I would have given it four stars but yesterday while washing I noticed rust around the spout where the enamel meets the metal.

I bought this item because of the handle and the easy push button to open the spout to pour water. This was a major selling point for me with arthritic hands. Well made, I hope it lasts a long time. The only downside is that turning the kettle upside down doesn't drain it completely. Be careful, remember the water is hot.
