I want to love the Cuisinart product but.

I paid $35 for it with Revain and although I've used it for a little over 4.5 years it's only been about 3.5 to 4 of those years fully operational. One of the racquet "seats" was removed and no longer held the racquet in place. In the last 6 months, no matter which setting I was on, the settings started to oscillate between slow and fast. If it was not kept in the down position and on the flat bottom of the mixing cup throughout the mixing process, splattering would occur frequently andโ€ฆ

Even at the lowest speed there is an initial boost that kicks up flour and sugar. After a few seconds, it returns to a very slow speed. But the damage is already done - and out of the bowl. 2. Making meringue with this blender was a very tedious work. It lasted over seven minutes at high speed with a whisker, but still didn't get the highโ€ฆ

A good blender, there are a few complaints but overall a good buy.

The blender is good and seems to work reasonably well. I'm not comfortable with the beater trigger as that's where I put my hand when mixing anything other than the default hold. The slowest spin is slightly faster, so care must be taken when beginning to mix flour-based mixtures. In general, the mixer is still quite powerful, it did not slow down at all, although I did not do any serious tasks for it. It doesn't seem to smell of ozone like the electric motor I tested with my previous blenderโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Swivel Cable; oblong beaters suitable for washing in the dishwasher; Agitator Ejector Lever
