Impotent Gas Regulator for Cooking

As a result of my tests, I determined that the Culinary Depot RV47LNG 22 Regulator Natural is a big disappointment. This Industrial and Scientific tool fails to regulate gas flow properly, leading to inconsistent cooking results. The only good thing about it is that it's inexpensive. Avoid this product if you're looking for quality industrial power tools.

Pros
  • Inexpensive
Cons
  • Inconsistent gas flow

Worked great right out of the box

Used it to convert my LP outdoor grill to natural gas after enlarging the gas nozzle openings. I worked great from the start, so now I'm frying!

Pros
  • Welding and soldering
Cons
  • Doubtful

Adjusts the water column from 2.8 to 5.2 inches

The listing is missing the most important piece of information: outlet pressure range in inches of water column. I found out from the Dormont catalog that the "-22" version has a power adjustment range of 2.8 to 5.2 inches of water. I am posting this for the convenience of future buyers. Please note that Dormont is only a distributor and Maxitrol is the actual manufacturer of this regulator.

Pros
  • Gas regulator
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
