There are better ones (for more money of course)

The size and functionality of this faceted mount was excellent. It automatically reverts to faucet mode when you turn off the water, and the filters themselves seem to last a long time. However (and as you can see in the picture) they do become an eyesore over time due to the way they are made. The chrome started to peel off within a few months and from the picture it looks like it's been around 18 months since purchase. . Finally I decided to get rid of it. I bought a stainless steel filter…

One Year Review Reflection

Short Review: This filter does a great job of filtering water, but in the end design flaws mean I won't buy it again. Pros: The water tastes good. While slow, it's also considered one of the best at lead filtration, which is why I consider it a pro. The quieter you go, the further you get. It goes beautifully with the faucet and is fairly unobtrusive. It's also easy to use. I love that you just pull the handle to start it and it automatically shuts off when you turn off the water. Less…

Gives 245 on TDS Stick Reading - Not Good

I have a zero water tank and have been using it for a while but my plants are dying lately and I suspect it is due to bad tap water that I am using for them - - Maybe too much chlorine or something else unhealthy? (Recent reports state that water across California is being tested for high levels of carcinogenic contaminants.) So I bought this Culligan kitchen faucet filter because I didn't want to keep burning through expensive Zero Water filters because I'm drinking with them. and I water all…

CLEAR decision!

We haven't had this filter for a long time but reading other reviews I agree with most of the positive reviews. Someone pointed out 3 features that stand out compared to other (poorly performing) faucet mounted filters and I have to totally agree that those 3 features made me buy in the first place. "First, the fittings on the faucets are all metal, so there's less chance of them breaking and splashing anywhere than others. Second, the switch returns to its original position after the water is…

Excellent filtration but filter cannot be replaced

Filtering excellent, water tastes very good but: FILTER CHANGE = TOTAL FAILURE. I'm not sure if mine is defective or all of them, but my unit won't disconnect the filter. I just bought a replacement filter and would really like to follow up with you guys but I tried for 3 hours my hands were bleeding all over. It was EXTREMELY frustrating to remove it, I re-read all the instructions, first I tried it with my bare hands as it obviously didn't work, I tried it with pliers until the pliers…

Pros
  • Faucet mount filter
Cons
  • Doubtful

The feature I liked most about this filter and which I have not seen anywhere else is the mechanism that lets you from a change conventional faucet. Stream into a filtered stream of water. It's a rod that you pull out, similar to the mechanisms sometimes used to switch the flow of water from a bathtub faucet to a showerhead. As with bathtubs, when you turn off the faucet after using this water filter, the stem will pop out again, ensuring that the next time you turn on the faucet, the water…
