One Year Review Reflection

Short Review: This filter does a great job of filtering water, but in the end design flaws mean I won't buy it again. Pros: The water tastes good. While slow, it's also considered one of the best at lead filtration, which is why I consider it a pro. The quieter you go, the further you get. It goes beautifully with the faucet and is fairly unobtrusive. It's also easy to use. I love that you just pull the handle to start it and it automatically shuts off when you turn off the water. Less surprising than other filters as I never forget to check it differently. Disadvantages: Changing the filter is tedious. It took me a few days to uninstall it the first time. I took the advice of other reviewers and smeared it with olive oil, but even after that it was difficult to remove. You can't get levers with knobs to turn. I changed the filter exactly on the recommended schedule, so I don't think I left it on for too long. Almost exactly a year later, the last nail was driven into the coffin lid, it broke at the seam, and now water is splashing between the filter and the spout. See photo for proof.
