Good quality filter - works in my Watts whole house filtration system

I use these cartridge filters in my Watts whole house filtration system. They seem like a good mid-range choice for microns. The 50 micron filters allow too much sediment to pass through, and the 10 micron filters are so large that they need to be changed frequently. I use them at home and in my camp bath shop. They are high quality and inexpensive. Revain offers these as part of its Subscribe & Save program, making it very easy to have enough stock at all times.

Pros
  • Replacement water filter
Cons
  • Hardware

I bought these filters in place of the 50 micron filters that came with our filter housing and you can see the difference in the water. We live in the country and have our own high iron well, we were hoping we could drink and cook with tap water and this makes it possible. I still prefer drinking water from a cooler, but I now use tap water for cooking and for pets. Savings on the number of 5 gallon jugs I have to carry around!

Pros
  • Tools and Household Products
Cons
  • Not sure

NOT THE ONE I USED.

you do not see the ones i have been using for over 15 years. the original lasted two months. Generics only fit about two weeks and then turn brown and begin to fall apart. They say Culligan but in my opinion these are lower quality market items. I contacted Revain and they said they would check it out. They were on my subscription and save lists, but I don't think I want to keep getting them. I am checking this article on site. Update: I contacted Calligan today and spoke to a very nice person.

Pros
  • replacement water filter for washing
Cons
  • i will write later
