🔋 Cummins FS19856 Fuel Filter: Maximizing Fuel Efficiency and Performance Review

It took less than 10 minutes to open/unscrew the top of the filter with a wrench. The new filter is tight, but so far so good!

Fit is great, setting up caused a vacuum leak in the small hard vacuum line that goes with the cruise control. The line was fragile and when I pulled it back a hole formed in it. Cut it out and added an integrated rubber joint from a local parts store. You'll also know if you've made it because you'll hear the supercharger kick in when you start it and as you walk down the street. Sounds like a growl under the hood.

Always stick with the OEM and it hasn't let me down. With the insert this thing can sit 2 years before I have a chance to change and they have not let me down.

Bought two of these, both fell apart when removed then had to get the parts out of the filter housing what a pain. I have had Dodge diesel trucks for over 15 years, many dozen fuel filter changes have never happened before. Had to put a star as it's the lowest rating should be a 5 star negative review.

Just for information as I see some people questioning the authenticity of this filter when ordering it from doxa-worldwide, it's Fleetguard. Most I've gotten from other places don't have a box either, just a shrink wrapped o-ring along with a filter. It says "Made in the USA" with the correct patent number.

2004 Dodge Cummins Bought this filter because of the improved 7 micron rating. The filter wasn't even in the box. When installed it was too big at the bottom to slip into the fuel tank, trying to push it down got stuck halfway. When I tried to pull it out it just pulled off the top of the filter. Complete garbage! Went to NAPA and got a 7 micron filter (3585XE) which came right in. Should have gone there first!
