I bought these to use on small flys so I can cut materials and thread close to the shank of the hook. The tips on them are curved, but the ends of the tips could be thinner for my purposes.

Very good utility scissors for fine work. I have big hands so the straps fit easily without being uncomfortable. After a few months of use, the set screw often comes out and needs to be tightened, which is possible with a thumb nail but can be uncomfortable.

The fact is that it came and supposedly reusable - useless. I could barely get the scissors out at either end, but the scissors themselves are perfect. If it wasn't for the "cover" I would give 5 stars.

My wife, who is quite picky, uses scissors in her sewing and embroidery projects and she is happy with these scissors, they work much better than the cheap replacements that required me to constantly sharpen and adjust the blades to keep them nicely halved. As received, they work great! She's happy, I'm happy.

I bought applique to cut fabric for machine embroidery. The blades looked small and sharp. I was so disappointed I sent them back. Although the blades were small, they were much thicker than I expected. To get closer to sewing: the thinner the blade, the better. They were thicker than my previous scissors and unacceptable. They didn't run smoothly even after lubricating. Really disappointing for me.
