They're so white! And with directional LED they work great for my third brake light and license plate or marker lights where you can use 4 LEDs pointing in the same direction and make them bright. No crashes outside of the box. Note. If they don't work out of the box, try uninstalling, rotating 180 degrees and reinstalling. They only work on one polarity. Used to replace T168. January 2021 Update: The first problem I had was that they were blinding my rear camera. I had to darken half of the lenses on each light source to avoid glare on the camera. These are good lamps and they work well especially when you want to focus the light in a directional light like 360 degrees. Light output is good, not super bright but about what you'd expect. I have no way of measuring lumens so I can't make a valid comparison to a standard bulb. I wanted to point out that in some cases there may be problems with the installation.
