Perfect replacement for your old Cutler Hammer Box!

Works and fits perfectly! I was concerned about the fit as the old one had metal hooks and this one had plastic hooks but they fit just like the original. Looks well made and should last another 30+ years then it must be someone's problem.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

There is no handle

It was only at the end of the work that I realized that this switch has no handle. I went and bought one for $5 but found I couldn't put them on without disconnecting the breakers and they were riveted together. I tried drilling out the rivets but it all fell apart completely. straight into the trash!

Pros
  • a beautiful thing
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

Poor fit for old CH box.

They more or less work but the molded plastic hooks on these Eaton CH types don't go well with my late 60's Cutler Hammer box which has metal hook switches. The moving wires around the hooks had a tendency to detach from the pole, leaving it just dangling from the electrical connectors. There shouldn't be a problem with the bezel holding everything in place, but first make sure everything is where it should be before you put the plate back on.

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Damaged
