Buy a solid quality drill bit

Yes they will cut. With interchangeable heads, however, that always means it can get a little out of whack and spot weld drilling becomes an absolute nightmare. Save your time and hassle and just buy a quality spot weld drill bit.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Working speed

BAD METAL-CHEAP. BROKE 2 DRILLS 1MM ALUMINUM

THIS IS WORSE THAN CHEAP DRILLS. YOU ARE USELESS. ANOTHER PRODUCT THAT JUST THE NAME WORKS! PLEASE STOP MAKING TRASH AND SELLING! STRESS ON NATURAL RESOURCES.

Pros
  • Good to use
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Decent kit for small jobs

Very reasonable price for what you get. The blades dull quickly, but there are 11 reversible blades included, so plenty of them. The spring-loaded needle helps guide the blade and will also dull after a few uses if you don't drill the right size hole for alignment. I probably drilled 50 spot welds with both sides of two blades.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Some small things

Great for small jobs

Bought this thinking it was cheap stuff and didn't live up to it. I ended up using a blade in two (almost three) spot welds until it became too dull to cut. I've been using cutting fluid the whole time, which may or may not affect useful life, but it's a cheap spot weld bit set nonetheless. I've definitely benefited from this but will probably keep them for quick jobs with a lot less spot welding.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Works great and many cutting attachments last a very long time

Works great, replaced the radiator mount and used it to cut about 30 spot welds, the guide tip wears out fairly quickly but gives you a replacement, actual blades The Cutter lasts a long time, I only used one blade on both sides to make 30 spot welds. Instead of using a center punch to guide the pilot drill, I drilled through the center of each spot weld and this prevented any movement of the torch. Only the hole in the middle made the bit jump occasionally.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Cheap quality and material.

I have never been more disappointed to leave a review. Ok, it was $17. Cheap. Okay, I'm not expecting a great tool. But for starters, the quality of the machine is so poor that the positioning pin wobbles across the width of the pin. The pin is straight, but the body is not. Which in turn causes the drill to cut almost 1/3 wider when following the pin. Second, drills dull quickly. It is in order. There's a ton. But 12 spot welds. The thread holding the bits has snapped. Tool metal is so cheap…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
