They will not fit Pilot or CR-V, cheap

The first set screw broke with minimal effort in the key. Cheap screw, cheap housing. Will not fit Pilot or CR-V as advertised. They don't look like the originals but are cheap thin ABS plastic. Better still, there's no way to fit a transponder chip (anti-theft) into the new case, which causes a number of other problems. Finally, your keyless module will no longer snap into place at the front after being inserted into the housing. Don't waste money. Kevin, ASE Recertified Master Tech.

Workaround for relocating keyhole to socket

All good except the keyhole is offset to the sleeve. I'm writing this review to quickly work around the problem that worked for me: 1. Just take the key socket and insert the key.2. Try to push the key in as far as possible by squeezing the sides with needle nose pliers.3. Now you can see the misaligned holes of the socket and key - insert the screw and tighten WITHOUT SHELL - allowing the socket to go through just enough to show the clearance hole.4. Now remove the screw, mount the now aligned

Neat replacement shell for a broken Honda Fit key

This is a good replacement for a broken Honda Fit key shell and definitely better than paying over $100 for a replacement key. I wish it had a small slot for the transponder chip, but I also understand that it should work for multiple years and models. And a little glue goes a long way. Speaking of the transponder chip, don't throw it on the old key. I almost made it and that would have been a HUGE mistake! The car won't start without it. The fit key requires you to cut it out with a utility…

Had to buy a new button separately

This does not include the remote control button and the one in my original was broken. I had to buy her blank key inside and transfer it to this case. Pulling the old key out of my original and inserting it into this wasn't too difficult, although I had to make sure it was fully inserted into the slot before I could insert a screw to secure it. I took the chip out of the original and put it in this case. It works, but it's not great. The case bends when you turn the key and often falls apart…

Works perfectly! After I found another screw.

When I bought my 2011 Honda CR-V one of the key fobs was taped on. I found this and decided to give it a try. As soon as we removed the screw from the old key fob, it was so badly damaged that it could no longer be used. Which would have been nice if the one I received didn't come with a screw. Luckily we found some old glasses with the right screw size and screwed them together. I assembled everything with no problems, even without instructions. The way the notches and corners are set…

Beware of possible incorrect installation

There are no instructions with this product. I recently purchased a similar item from another seller to fix a broken Lexus key. This had a symmetrical key holder that slides the full length of the key, allowing it to be screwed into a keychain. This is asymmetrical and should only be installed in one direction. Well, of course I put it on the wrong way and couldn't take it off. I literally had to cut the plastic holder with a utility knife to free the key itself. Needless to say, I'm sending it

Ignore other reviews. Works 100%.

I have an '08 Honda CRV and my wife came back and said she had a broken key in the ignition but it wouldn't start and the green light wasn't on The key symbol was flashing so I jumped onto the internet and found that this poorly designed keychain was CONSTANTLY breaking. So I found out that you can change the case and it should work (as long as you still have your old keychain), which he did. I looked at eBay and Revain but Revain had shells at a better price but this seller's product seemed to
