This product was carefully packed in 3 boxes and many layers of bubble wrap. The bowl itself had a few bubbles and defects on the glass surface. However, this is to be expected as it is hand blown. I use this chicken bowl and it's great! I think I'll eventually switch to a filter aquarium, but for now it's working fine. I think it's about 3 gallons or a little less and it's very pretty! I raised my rooster fish from a 1 gallon tank where she didn't look very happy. I try to make his surroundings bigger and happier for him! It can tear under pressure or during washing if it hits a sink. AS FISHING, I filled 1/3 with water, topped with small smooth rocks and 1, only 1, moss ball (available on Ebay), for a nice betta bowl. I ordered 4.5" x 6" because I have a very "chunky" hydrangea bush. Reviews are fairly thorough and appreciated, there may be some variation in quality but I received the custodian with no issues.
