Beautiful beautiful HUGE bowl. Well packaged for delivery. I wish the glass was thicker to make it more convenient to fill with more water. It can tear under pressure or during washing if it hits a sink. AS FISHING, I filled 1/3 with water, topped with small smooth rocks and 1, only 1, moss ball (available on Ebay), for a nice betta bowl. There should be a heater at 77.78 degrees to keep the betta warm and change the water every third day as there is a ball of moss in it. The moss ball keeps the fish active in their natural environment rather than just lying there. I make sure the water isn't too warm so the moss ball stays nice and doesn't collapse and make the fish nauseous, making the water bad. It is also VERY important to change the water every third day. I tried other plants but they didn't take root as the fish need warmer temperatures than the plants and the plants slowly decompose making the water a bit cloudy. This causes the fins of the betta to rot! I add 1 teaspoon of aquarium salt to the water, not too much, to preserve minerals to keep the bettas healthy. Betta protection from bacteria on the fins and general health. My Betta is happy and often builds a bubble nest. ;-)
