It's a privacy screen but it lets light through. It was easy to use and works well. We put it on the window at the top of our front door so people entering the house wouldn't tiptoe down the hall, but not anymore because you can't see through it. We also applied it to the windows at the top of the garage doors to block out sun glare, but that didn't quite work as the film lets in too much sunlight for that.

in the end I like it and I'm glad I got it. It's not as pretty as I thought. Looks like plastic and a bit cheap. But it does the job. It provides privacy and hides water stains on our glass shower. Installing wasn't fun. I hope I never have to do that again. It was particularly difficult in the grip area. And no matter how hard I try, I can still see the lines where the pieces touch. I put them on this morning, following the instructions to the letter and once they were lifted, a cloudy film sporadically spread during treatment. I washed the window with Zep Window Cleaner and was 100% confident that the surface was perfectly clean and dry enough for the window to shine in the sun.
