USB required to power the device on my camper van always plugged in, this worked. Mounts flush to a flat surface, 12 volts and ready to go! It has LED lights on the USB ports to indicate power. Fits my needs, all I can ask for is a red wire, a black 12 volt wire, 2 screws (not included) and that's it.

Just installed the back of the center console so rear passengers can charge their phones. I added a fuse and installed it directly into the auxiliary terminal of the fuse box so that it turns on and off when I turn the key in the ignition. I think the light could actually be a bit brighter. I also removed the port cover.

There are several things that I like about this device. 1) it's a charger and not just a data port like many others, 2) it DOES NOT require a transformer as it connects directly to a 12V source, 3) small/compact. It has a dust cover, which I didn't want, but that's a two-second break. There is a blue light inside that will be a little parasitic. My setup was in an RV with the aim of providing a charging station when not connected to shore power.

USB charging port works well. It has a blue LED to let you know there is power. There are no instructions or mounting screws. The base has a removable cover that allows access to the mounting screw holes. The wires are short, about 4 inches long at most, so you will most likely need to add extra wire. I had to add a wire before assembly because there is no room in my application to add a wire after the connector is assembled.

I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler JKU and added it to the rear. Easy to install and since it's a flat mount I don't have to worry about the space behind the panel. Now my kids are happy to have a charger when they ride with me. I'd like a green backlight instead of blue, but that's not so important. Oh, because of the light, you need to add a switch to turn it on with an extra power supply. I used a backup power tap and hooked it up to an extra fuse to avoid draining the battery. I bought two of these, one for each side of the bed in my caravan. Each side has a counter and a drawer. Frames are the same height as the mattress. This is only possible with flush mounting if you drill a hole and run the wires through the back. Otherwise, there is no fixture (such as a groove) to route the wires out of the device. Mine is attached to a spot in my van where you can't drill a hole. So the wire has to be fed out to the side and the cover screwed on if it is rather crooked. Of course the hardest part was getting the 12 volt wiring to where we wanted to mount it, but that's an RV setup issue, not an issue with this product.
