My experience was not as good as some others

My experience was not as good as some others. I screwed a pressure gauge onto my pipe assembly and it showed a leak. I checked every connection with soapy water and couldn't find any. It wasn't until I submerged the entire assembly (a little over 8 feet long) under water that I saw that the gauge itself was leaking. No sealant was applied around the gauge threads in the connector body and there was a small leak at that point. If you buy one I suggest you first remove the sensor and seal those…

Works great! on gauge sets

Used to check gas line pressure (1/2" PE lined ACR tube) and it has worked flawlessly. It has withstood 3psi for over 2 hours which means that my solder joints don't have any leaks.. or bells! I completely disassembled the unit before using it and reapplied fresh pipe sealant to make sure it wasn't leaking around the Schrader valve or gauge threads.much more to make your own from scratch (I'm a locksmith so believe me you can't even start making your own cheaper even if you have a stash of hex…

The second sensor works great! Five stars!

The first valve showed 4.5psi when not plugged in so I sent it back and got another one. The second valve works great! Before using it I put pipe grease on the valve and gauge guard based on other reviews. I then connected it to a 3" nipple and cap and increased the pressure to 15psi as a test. Very small overall volume, so this is a very revealing test. After 24 hours it's still exactly 15psi where it started. Now I have confidence in the sensor and if it shows a leak I know I need to fix…

Don't Measure If Unde 3/4 PSI

Easy Installation. It's a 3/4" female thread, I also have a fitting, I believe it's 1/8". Anything under 1psi is a guess, it only starts at 1/2psi, you might think it's not working if you get a pressure under 1/2psi, which confused me, if the device worked it was the the needle barely moved below 3/4 psi so don't return, it's low pressure. If you need accuracy below 1 PSI, you are better off with another model. Good price, sufficient for study, although I have it permanently installed in the…

The probe arrived with the needle in the bottom of the case. I had to open it to put the needle back in. This made a number on the gauge and after that I could only get it down to 11 PSI. I used it, but after talking to the plumber, he told me that I need to turn the gas and water much higher so that there are no breakthroughs in the future. I removed that gauge and put a 100 psi gauge on the fitting. I've maintained 50psi on my gas and PEX for over a week each. So the pressure gauge is…

Works well for a 10 minute test. Good for the price.

I bought it to check gas lines. This helped find the problem by watching the lines leak for a few minutes. When I got to a good section of pipe, I found that it was its own leak source of about 0.004lb/min, which means 10 minute tests are good, but hours or days of testing needs some improvement. I reinstalled the gauge using Rector Seal t 2 multipurpose white paste and everything seems fine now as I can no longer hear the leak. flow too. Because of this, there are still some small leaks, but…
