Good, consistent quality

Daniel Smith produces watercolors of consistent quality. They're just as fun as my other favorite colors.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Large and bulky

I love these colors!

I ordered 1 tube and I fell in love with the execution of this watercolor. It is colorful and changes color very little when tried. I will always use this color.

Pros
  • Freehand work
Cons
  • I have doubts

Fantastic color in painting

I'm a beginner in watercolour, so I can't talk about most of the technical properties of this paint. I can say that I like the clarity and transparency of the color. It contains an amazing amount of pigment compared to other artist quality paints I own. I estimate the price of this paint in relation to the amount of paint in the tube.

Pros
  • Excellent general properties
Cons
  • Not sure

Daniel Smith is always on top!

Daniel Smith has become my favorite watercolor enthusiast. I put the tubes of paint in a metal can and after they dry you can continue to use them. The only thing with DS paints is that they tend to crack when drying, but you can fill that up with more paint in tubes. After drying, it is easy to moisten and use again. It stays smooth (I've had other brands that were grainy when re-wetted and had small bits of dry paint in your solution). Very good pigment concentration, you don't need much.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Disappearance
