Not anything that stretches and scratches a little

I wear women's size 9 1/2 socks and these socks fit me, but the insole is slightly longer so if you have a large foot, fit they you are fine too. However, the ankles are not as stretchy, so thick ankles may feel uncomfortable. 30% Merino Wool, 36% Nylon, 33% Acrylic, 1% Elastane. I expect merino wool and acrylic to be smooth fibers so I was a little disappointed that these socks weren't as smooth as silk. However, when I put them on and wear them, they are very comfortable. Some things are…

Merino Wool First Pair

Updated 10/18/2020 I love that these socks feel seamless! I bought a more expensive pair recommended by some bike sites. The Defeet seem to stay in place much better than these, but they're nowhere near as pristine as these. My fingers don't like the more expensive brands as they almost feel like thick cotton socks. I ordered a few more expensive brands to test. I'm looking for a lot at $20 a pair! So this is my first pair of Merino wool socks. I have a wide pitch, I wear 9.5 extra wide shoes…

the best socks! Hooray!

Running 9 miles every day while trying to acclimate my body and maintain muscle tone has made me a lot more picky about my socks. I've tried socks, cotton socks, socks made specifically for athletic wear, and none of them were as comfortable as I needed for long walks. The seams on the toes are particularly annoying. THESE merino wool socks with no volume at the toe seam are perfect! Hooray!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

For camping

The support at the top is too thick and bulky. It sits right where the pants sit, so when you put your foot on it, it's a bulky mess. They also stretch and bunch up when worn. I am not happy with this purchase and would happily spend my money elsewhere on socks as there are so many options. I've tried not paying for smartwool but they still don't work so it's just a waste of money and i wish i could just buy smartwool.

Pros
  • understandable also for the old ones
Cons
  • No mold required

Perfect fit for my motorcycle boots!

I ride my bike and wear heavy boots during the cold season. I have large calves so I bought boots just above the ankle. These socks give me extra cushioning without being so thick that they bunch up. I also love black because my boots are black as are my pants so when the wind lifts my leg I still look closed with one solid colour. Merino wool is comfortable and warm.

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Not perfect, but very pretty!

These lightweight DANISH ENDURANCE hiking socks made from merino wool (3-pack) for women, men and children are very well made. The wool does not come off the socks and does not stick to the legs. Smart Wool socks always shed hair and end up not having hair on the heels and toes, just the sock fabric. The seams do not rub and do not cause pain in the legs. They are very warm and really help my feet not feel cold or clammy. They conform to the ankle, heal very well and lift. They do not slip into

  • Certified
Cons
  • Badly thought out

Too big in the heel area, although the site recommended that was my size

Despite the fact that I followed the sizing on the manufacturer's website, the socks ended up being much larger be. too big with a sock heel on my ankle. Since I usually wash my socks before wearing them for the first time as well, I didn't bother contacting the manufacturer for an exchange. I don't think I will ever buy this brand again. I only found out about this issue after wearing it on a trip to Paris last week. Luckily I brought a pair of my old fancy wool socks that I've always loved…

Pros
  • Always happy
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Update: These socks didn't hold up well

In less than a year, two of them had holes in the toe seam, two pairs are worn at the bottom and two pairs still seem fine. That's not what I call a high quality sock. When I first received them I was very impressed. They *seem* to be well made, but don't hold up very well. By the way, I only use them as everyday socks, not for hiking.

  • Nice
Cons
  • Expensive

Keeps feet dry in extreme heat

I originally wanted to buy Damn Tough but couldn't bring myself to pay $16 for a pair of socks. After much research I decided to try Danish Endurance. At first glance they seemed quite thick and I feared my feet would be on fire with over 100 degrees on our upcoming hikes. On the first day of Zion's trek and 10 miles later, my socks didn't get wet and my feet didn't blister or burn. I carried two other pairs in my backpack for our other Utah day trips and each pair held up just like the first…
