Great pump for a small fish room!

I use this pump to bleed tanks in my living room, so I was looking for a pump that is powerful enough and doesn't make a lot of noise. He currently uses 6 x 10 gallon tanks, 3 x 40 gallon grow tanks, 2 x 20 gallon long tanks and one 24 gallon tank. All of the tanks in my setup are within 10 6-7 feet of the pump. Pros: Very powerful, you can order recovery kits that are not expensive. Good rubber feet can only withstand a minimal amount of sound. tanks, so I had to buy another one. that's all…

Buy this you won't be disappointed

I have added 5 aquariums and need another high capacity air pump. I made a classic mistake by buying a cheap unit by purchasing a VIVOSUN 950 GPH 32W air pump. What mistake. On power, and more importantly, the noise level was acceptable at first, after a few months it became unbearable that I sometimes turned off the pump. We bought a Danner AP-20 pump and haven't regretted it for a minute. Yes, it's much more expensive, but it's more powerful than Vivosun and the noise level is very low. Save…

Good airflow and quiet.

I bought these to replace an air pump from a European company because the replacement diaphragms cost almost the same as this pump. I'm glad I bought the AP-20, it's used for a 1700 gallon open pond, it's very quiet, I can barely hear it at 5 feet. I could hear my old air pump 50 feet away. I don't have it covered at the moment and it has endured several heavy rains with no problems. Reviews for Danner products are mixed, but they have worked well for me. My first 1800 gallon Danner mag-drive…

Sensitive to back pressure. tendency to overheat.

This pump is very sensitive to back pressure. Even a large aerator reduces the airflow so much that the pump shuts off during thermal protection. This makes the pump difficult to use. The reason it is very sensitive to back pressure is because it tends to heat up a bit and most of the pump's cooling is provided by the air being pumped. Unfortunately, some back pressure is inevitable as aerators restrict airflow. The manufacturer either needed a design that generates less heat, or they needed…

Reliable and durable - buying a second one after almost 5 years.

I bought my first one in 2015. It survived four winters outdoors, often covered in snow. I change the membranes about once a year. Eventually moisture got into the motor, and because it was disassembled to work with the diaphragm, the bolts started coming loose, so I'm buying a replacement. This is a powerful pump. There's nothing that can really compete with it, which pumps that much air without shelling out another $80 or so. Our carp pond is 600 gallons in volume and 4 feet deep at one end…
