🐠 Enhanced Supreme (Danner) ASP14525 Diaphragm Replacement Kit for AP-20 Aquarium Air Pump Review

Works great. Make sure you disassemble and rebuild your build the same day. The rebuild instructions are not clear and it would be helpful if you had the original pump to help.

I would rate it higher but this kit does not include some of the parts needed for assembly. Two plastic parts not included were broken and I had to glue them together. The seal between the two halves of the housing also does not fit on this pump, although it is supposed to fit on my model.

The gasket supplied does not fit. This gasket only has 2 holes, which doesn't work with this AP-20 - the AP-20 uses a 4-hole gasket. I've just messaged Danner to see if I can get a rubber gasket for it as I don't want to buy another full repair kit if it has the same gasket so I'm giving this a 3 just because it's assembled but not used but can be due to incorrect sealing

Bought to restore an AP-20 that had both diaphragms torn. There was an instruction manual in the kit (good) but the housing o-ring does not fit this pump model (bad). In addition, some other parts such as a spare filter and spare feet are not included. It comes with parts to convert other pump models so you still have parts. The pump is easy to convert. Kit includes everything needed to rebuild the pump diaphragms plus a pressure chamber seal. Note that some reviewers downgraded their rating because the pressure chamber seal did not fit into the pump body. Obviously he didn't fit because he wasn't meant for the job. You will need a medium Phillips screwdriver and a 7/32 socket or wrench to complete the repair. Blunt pliers can work in place of a screwdriver/wrench.
