Wonderful product, well made and beautiful

IT WORKS! We moved into our house a year and a half ago, without a key on the chimney tap and there was a constant smell of natural gas. On a whim, I decided to order this one, not even expecting it to match the color of the valve. Works and fits! Double bonus! Wonderful product, solid and beautifully made.

Great tool for hard to reach gas valve

We bought this for our chimney gas valve. We remodeled our family room and now we have a wider and deeper piece of furniture that houses our gas valve. Since the wall is set back, we can't get close enough to the valve with our original short wrench. This is the perfect tool for this situation. I'm glad we were able to find that at Revain.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Some flaws

Works perfectly. Just make sure you get the right length

Works well. Just make sure you choose the right length. We got a short key thinking the square plate is where it clicks. The nut he's hooking on was Vaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa for his hole I think on the other side of the wall in front of the house. Make sure you probe the hole with hanger wire or something to see how deep it is.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Weak set

It does its job, not very well, but when it doesn't

Those damn wrenches are hard to find at a reasonable price. It does its job, but it's too long, it's just short or long. The end broke after a week, the product is not high quality, but it does its job. I wasn't willing to pay more than $60 for a key so this was the best I could find and I really really looked for everything. I finally found a medium-sized brass key that cost $30 on Ebay.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • No instructions

Works great with Dante gas valve

Generally, on any device that's considered 'universal', I measure my needs and compare them to the specs. Several generic keys did not match these parameters. Luckily I found this wrench made by the same company as my faucet. He must come. And so it was. Astonishing. In terms of quality, fit and accuracy of description I would recommend to any Dante Valve owner and any valve owner who knows the basic specs of their valves.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Well made key. But be careful! it will not work on an old Dante wall plate. I've been looking for a key for my old Dante valve and wall plate and even called Dante to find out why the tip of the key wouldn't fit the hole in the old wall plate to no avail. What I had to do to use this key was file the round end of the key with a metal file and now it fits the old wall plate and works great.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Will not fit our fire pit 1/4 " valve

We lost the original Dante gas valve key for our backyard fire pit, so we bought one to replace. When it came in the mail, we did we didn't even test it because it was the same brand as before and was described as "universal" and fits a 1/4" or 5/16" gas valve stem Well after trying it out the other day posted I found that it wasn't working because the 1/4" of the wrench wasn't deep enough to grab the shank. I'm hoping to solve this problem without having to pay for a working wrench.
