Great for outdoors.

I had to cover up a few screw holes in the aluminum outer panel around the front door, sanded and painted. Looked great and worked.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

I love this stuff! on hardware

The floor of my garage, which is at least 25 years old, was deteriorating. I cut out the bad parts and glued these. That's great. Waterproof, easy to stain and very difficult to dry. Very happy with this purchase!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Great product at a great price

I used this to patch some cracks where the wood and aluminum meet in my lane. Worked great. Dried to a very hard state. Thanks to the texture I was able to make it look like plaster. Got the color right. I liked that you can read the reviews and get what I need. It's especially good to have fast delivery before I lose the will to finish the project!

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Works with wood, iron, concrete

Durable, easy to apply, cures fairly quickly, can be sanded and painted, and imo has many uses from filling holes in a metal fence to replacing destroyed wood with termites . This is almost something between Bondo, spatula and wooden spatula in one. Adheres well to cracked concrete, rusty iron fences and door frames. Also a good price as it is a decent size. Be sure to prime with a good primer when painting.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Useless features

Easy to use, dries quickly, non-sticky

Product works exactly as advertised. I bought platinum putty to patch holes in a metal door after removing small curtain hardware. I didn't want to risk using a product that might get sticky after drying. The consistency is smooth, very little odor and can be painted over after a short time. I waited maybe 30 minutes after application, lightly sanded and varnished. A good product. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Top marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • General

This material is amazing

I am using this DAP Platinum putty to fill cracks in my eaves siding boards. The fascia boards are Douglas Fir, 35 years old and have small open cracks although still strong. This putty flows very much like a joint sealant. It dries quickly and sands well, but is significantly harder than a joint compound. I was planning on using a bondo which needs to be mixed with a hardener and used quickly before it sets. This DAP filler feels and sands like a cured Bondo with no mess when mixed! It appears

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • I will write later

I LOVE THIS FILLER!

I've had a few cans of this and I will ALWAYS have it on hand. During Hurricane Sally, over half of my garden ornaments were broken. I glued the base with Loctite and then filled in all the cracks and holes with Dap. I had to fill it out twice as some parts could not be saved. It can be sanded and painted with Patio Paints. The green gnome was missing his left arm so I made him one with DAP and styrene packing foam and DAP hair on it. His name is "Itchy". This substance is washed off the handsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Vulgarity
