Theses and other damn strong socks I wore got thin in a few months. Also the sizes are not designed for a wide foot. I usually wear size L but even size XL fits snug, size XXL fits snug across the width but leaves a few inches of sock hanging at the end which knocks off when putting the shoe on. 2/7 stars

As others have said, if you work on your feet or wear hunting/hiking boots, take a look at these socks. They are amazingly comfortable. I just received a custom made set of Frank's boots and am still breaking them in (the boots are awesome btw). I needed a pair of socks to help with the burglary and the stolen sock. Darn Tuf delivered. I wore them all day yesterday and they felt great, no hot spots or rubbing. I'll definitely get a few more pairs.

Well straight out of the box they were too big. I bought them in a large size to avoid shrinkage issues. And they shrunk a bit from the XL which they say fits 12.5-14.5 to fit my height 11.5ft (US size). So if you have 13.5 you might need xxland, if you have 11.5 you might need xl, I washed warm/warm and tumble dried
