Comfortable but not warm

These socks were a Christmas present for my husband. He works outside and his hands and feet are constantly cold. All the reviews were good but they are not as warm as advertised. Today I put them on for the first time and the temperature was above zero, about 32 degrees, and he still had cold feet and toes. I am extremely disappointed. He said they are very soft and comfortable to wear but not warm.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Available in white only

Not the best among men

I bought these socks because my feet are cold, the first pair I got I wore and the healing broke after wearing them less than an hour had worn for a long time. They are not thick but I wasn't concerned about that when I received them. because I got alpaca socks for Christmas which kept my feet warm. That's why I bought them because I wanted extra pairs. I was not happy with my purchase and don't think I will buy these socks again.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

I love these socks the most in Athletic Socks

My favorite socks I've ever bought. After owning two pairs of these alpaca socks for a year, I still think these are the best soft socks I have ever owned. Maybe not as warm as my very thick Smart Wool Socks, but they feel like paradise on my feet. Will buy wool/alpaca specific detergent to keep them in good condition. I will wash in cold water/hand wash only and do not tumble dry. Will definitely be buying more for future use!

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Infuriates

Soft and warm., A+: Sports socks

Husband put them on when his feet were already cold and said they warmed his cold feet in about 10 minutes while keeping them warm the whole time he was outside the lower digits. He also said they are very soft and comfortable and very glad I bought them for him :) They seem to last a while but time will tell, I turn them inside out and wash them in cold water on a delicate cycle, no fabric softener and air dry, but if you like warm, soft socks I think you'll like them as much as my husband

Pros
  • Hands-free work
Cons
  • So far so good

Warm, Comfortable, and Dry

As an avid outdoorsman from Minnesota, I'm trying to understand the products available that will keep you dry and warm in some of the most extreme fall and winter weather conditions in the United States. As I get older, I find it increasingly difficult to keep my feet warm when walking outdoors. A friend recommended I try AndeanArt's alpaca fiber socks, available at Revain. The concept sounded interesting with alpaca hair that seemed to have offensive air pockets (chambers) built into the hair…

You are perfect! - clothing

My husband has very cold feet and I have completely improved his position with these socks. He loves her! I've been aware of the benefits of alpaca socks and have bought him several pairs over the past few years and wear them all the time, but this year I've taken it a step further and tried AndeanSun's slimmer alpaca socks and he loves them the most. ! They fit perfectly (he wears shoes 11.5-12 so I took a big sock). He loves how they hug his feet and calves, they are comfortable and soft and…

Soft and warm., A+ for men

Husband put them on when his feet were already cold and said they warmed his cold feet in about 10 minutes and they warm all the time were held outside in small numbers. He also said they are very soft and comfortable and very glad I bought them for him :) They seem to last a while but time will tell, I turn them inside out and wash them in cold water on a delicate cycle, no fabric softener and air dry, but if you like warm, soft socks I think you'll like them as much as my husband

Pros

Cons
  • So far so good

My new favorite socks

These are the socks I'm looking forward to. Soft and cozy, and they lose less than most alpaca socks. I wear size 8 shoes and the small size fits me; It stretches a little at the end of the day, but when washed it stretches again. They don't even go in my muck boots, an issue I've had with other alpaca socks. The 3 month old pair are a little thinner than the new pair I just received but that is to be expected. They are so good on a long hike!

Pros
  • New items in my collection
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
