In fact, they are suitable for small rectangular "workshop " reflectors!

I work on old cars as a hobby and had a garage with 12 150w halogen headlights. They drew so much current I couldn't start the little welder and leave all the lights on! I tried to find suitable replacement LEDs but none fit - the LEDs were too "thick" and didn't cover the back reflector (most are 25mm round). These lights fit perfectly! They have a nice big aluminum heatsink and are very bright. Obviously not as bright as a 150w halogen but about as bright as a 100w halogen. The LED used is…

Early rejection - did NOT last as long as promised

I have waited until I have used it for a reasonable amount of time to leave a review. Unfortunately, this device is NOT intended for long-term use. I use it over my desktop for fine detail projects and it was great when I first installed it. After a few weeks I realized that it takes time to catch fire. Not really a big deal, but a little curious. After about 500 hours of use, 3-4 hours a day, 5-6 days a week, it wasn't fully lit. Reaches only up to 25% brightness. I made sure all the contacts…

Very bright best in Bulbs

Update, one year later. The large one I bought last year works great as a makeshift replacement for my outdoor headlight. It may be too bright but I tried to make a shadow to hide the light and not disturb my neighbors. Also, Revain has my rating of my second purchase when I made sure to go down a size. A small lightbulb is also good. I use it in a shop portable dual halogen lamp. It doesn't always turn on the first time, but usually turns on the second time. I thought about removing the switch
