Not very bright, best in incandescent bulbs

I installed them in a 400 watt metal halide lamp. I removed all parts of the ballast and igniter and plugged directly into a 120 volt outlet. It's nowhere near as bright as other similarly wattage LED bulbs I've bought in the past. You get what you pay for. If I swap it for another lamp I will update the before and after photos.

Doesn't live up to expectations.

Purchased November 2019 Review Updated October 2020 Review Updated. The Corn Cob LED started flickering less than two years after installation, less than 10,000 hours. It seems to be related to the heat. If I leave it off overnight and turn it back on the next night it works fine for a while and then flashes and turns back on. First review. Replaces 100w high pressure sodium. Excellent brightness at about 1/2 power.

Really BRIGHT at a fair price! Great people to buy from!

I bought these lamps to replace 250 watt metal halide wall lamps. All of my wall units are 25-40 feet tall and are installed on the sides of commercial buildings. I was tired of lugging those heavy things up the stairs to change ballasts and I was also hoping to see REAL dollar savings on my $2900+ monthly electric bill. I manage a large air conditioned warehouse made up of several 3 story buildings and each building has at least EIGHT wall units + 4 HVAC units per building so I see HUGE energy
