They're pretty good for the price. It was a pain to adjust them to the correct starter position. Once that's done, however, they pick up a pretty good pace. I matched them to my digital and the temps were correct.

I've been using this thermometer for a few months now and wash it in the dishwasher every day. It's not a failure yet. The temperature is accurate and it's so easy to clean. I have absolutely nothing to complain about and can only recommend it.

I found I expected them to be waterproof and dishwasher safe. They seem to last a while without water getting on the inside of the dial, but after a few hand/machine washes, water does get onto the dial. It seems to wear off with time, but I wanted something bulletproof in the kitchen.
