Daystar Isolator Rattling KU71071RE America Review

I bought two HiLift versions of these and they were total crap. One cracked in half in the car and the other after a few weeks outdoors. This was reinforced by external influences over several months. Will definitely buy again!

My metal ring holder that comes with the High Lifters is good but will bend to the shape of the handles over time and doesn't work well with the bonnet mounts. I have used this holder and it is a complete difference between day and night. It makes no noise when jumping and ensures that the handle does not slide up when moving. That's great. No cracks or anything like that.

The isolator seems to last a long time as it is made of a durable rubber-like material. It matched the jack part very well, but the handle hole was too small and had to be reamed out. I used a drill and pitcher saw to enlarge the hole and was able to install it. Other than having to make one change, I really like it.

So the material seems good. Is it flexible hard plastic? It definitely sits firmly on the jack, but the only complaint I have is that I installed a top and it lengthens the handlebars a bit, which scratches the jeep's top folding mechanism, causing metal on metal to rattle. By the way, I attached a jack directly to the roll bars in the back of the jeep. This can be remedied by fully lowering the jack prior to storage, but as I said, a bit of a nuisance. I have been using this hi lift jack for 8 years now which stays installed on my Moorrover in sunlight and inclement weather. Now it has turned light orange with black patches of mold. I just restored and repainted my jack and it works and looks like new again. The Daystar isolator is still flexible and works great when the socket is in set/store mode.
