Very durable: Gear

Product works as intended. But beware buyers, if you don't want to feel the slightest vibration in your drive train, use rubber. This mount really made a big difference in stiffness, shifting was tighter and the car was more responsive. But my T/A felt like it was falling apart.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Volume

Keeps things where they should be

I had no idea how messy my stock YJ transmission mount was (replaced by the Dana300) until I replaced it with this one. Despite the smaller width, it is significantly stiffer. There were no visible cracks or damage to the bearing mount, but I was able to move the rubber by hand. The transmission and transfer case are used to moving under load. No longer. This part fits perfectly.

Pros
  • Looks great
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Will NOT work with V8 Camaro / Trans Am

When installing on my 2000 Pontiac Trans Am (LS1) there is only a single bolt in the center that attaches to the cross member. The pin broke shortly afterwards. I put another bolt in and it broke too. I bought an original GM transmission mount today and will be installing it in its place. I would NOT recommend this mount for a V8 car as the torque will break the bolt. This is a very weak spot.

No vibration is best in transmission

Great I'm so glad I found the cause of my 45 to 65 mph vibration. The old bracket was torn in half! U-Hinges were missing 25% of a pin under the cover. Huge noise when going into reverse, but I was too stupid to remember what that meant. But NOW my 700,000 mile 2005 Chevrolet Express 3500 6L will RUN and RAIL again! THANK YOU AMAZONE! Especially for the 1 day delivery, I received it in less than 24 hours. Today you have earned my loyalty. I'M THANKFULL! Your Plumber TRU!

Pros
  • Nice package
Cons
  • No automatic

Fits Camaro/Firebird 82-92 3rd generation with standard rubber mounts.

Installed on my 91 Trans Am. 5.7 with 700R4 gearbox. Works perfectly, you may notice a little more engine/transmission noise as it is more durable than the stock rubber mount. Installs at the same time as installing the ES Poly Torque Lever. I deducted 1 star because I had to widen (widen) the slot in the gearbox a bit. The hairpin provided is too wide to fit through. Nothing can be solved in 10 seconds with a grinder or a dremel wheel.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • So-so

Get it over power.

Much better than energy suspensions! It's wider and stiffer, has butt height and doesn't require a preload plate. I put it next to the energy plate and with the preload plate the energy plate was taller, without it it was shorter. This one is much easier to install as it has an Allen screw and bolt that locks it in place. Simply insert the screw with the bolt already on it, tighten and then tighten the bolt. Bought the Energy version to replace my broken stock mount with a 98 z28. The gearbox…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Does its job and good.

Bought this unit for a 99 Trans Am with LS1 engine as I didn't want to spend that much on a stock bracket, it's also a bit difficult to find the right bracket for these cars outside of the dealer. Note to those looking: you can purchase 93-97 LT1 rubber mounts at your local parts store and bolt them onto your LS1 engined vehicle. Now back to the poly mount. It installs in minutes and comes with the necessary hardware. You'll notice a little more transmission vibration on your pants and…
