Easy Installation: Tow and Winch Products

Easy Installation, Looks Great. It's still buzzing. Where the bracket attaches to my bumper but I have so many other noises my jeep is making that I can't hear a difference.

Pros
  • Free for Educational Purposes
Cons
  • Upgradable

My first order was missing 1 :-/

I gave low stars because my first order which was supposed to be 2 packs arrived without one. Second order came with two as described. But these insulators are amazing! Centering and pasting takes only a few seconds and they look great on my JKU. I will also order another set for my YJ.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Modern

Great addition to my shackles

I've been using them on my FJ40 bumper shackles for about 5 years and they protect my bumper shackles perfectly and stick well to the elements. You obviously have to take it off to use the brace, but that doesn't matter; they appear immediately. I only had to buy another pair because I lost one on the trail after taking it off to use the shackle to rebuild the winch.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Works as advertised.

A simple piece that fits snugly into the D-ring mounts to reduce noise and prevent the D-ring from scratching the bumper or whatever is attached to it. I've used this with a black Smittybilt 13047B 3/4" D ring and they work great. Well designed and should help reduce road noise. I've posted a picture so you can get an idea.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price

The bumper is not scratched! Holds up well!

Fits onto existing bumper D-rings in less than 30 seconds. Prevents them from scratching the powder paint on my Jeep JK's front bumper when the D-rings wobble a little while driving. After a month, they continue to hold up well, not cracking or fading in over 90 degree heat. They also withstand the pressure of my winch hook, which attaches to a single D-ring, without snapping or twisting. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Don't remember

You can use tape to get the same effect but it doesn't look that pretty. So I'm torn in my rating. It could be 1 or 5. Dipping a few D-rings into the plastids will save you about $15. But the whole ring would be rubberized. They give you an aggressive look and you can take the rubber off before you pinch. So. For the price they are good if you use your D-rings or if you like the looks. If you're looking for functionality, use Plastidip.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • thin

Fits well and so far!

I attached these to my Northern Tool 3/4" fork clamps and they fit very well. but they fit great. I've had them installed on my daily commuter for a few weeks now and they're still there. They don't appear to be weakened or anything. Since installing them I've also ridden cross country, taken up and down rocks, river crossings, mud, nothing has caused them to fall off. As for the rumble, people keep asking me if they reduce the rumble. I waited to install the fork struts until I had them, so…

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Empty
