Nice simple amp. to Amplifiers

This is a good little amplifier for driving studio monitors in a small home music/video studio. I got this because it only has the basics for my use, no bass or treble controls, a headphone jack and lower power, I don't need an equalizer to color the sound and it's loud enough for mixing, could be a bit louder be , but I'm not complaining. The only downside is that the headphone jack is on the back and plugging it in will turn off the monitors, which is a bit inconvenient if you want to switch…

Can't say enough good things about it.

I use an ASUS Essence STX on my desktop PC and have an old set of Onkyo 5.1 speakers + subwoofer that have been in the box for five years and had absolutely no electronics to connect them. . Couldn't find a reasonably priced tube amp with a subwoofer until I came across this one. It's 2.1 so I still have a center channel and two little rears in the box and I don't care. The amp fits perfectly on my desk and has MUCH MORE POWER than I will ever use. Sounds great and is great value for money…

I really wanted to love him.

But for some reason it distorts any music that reaches it at a low level, like a piano or just a human voice. If there's no question, this thing is a beast. The sound quality is amazing! So after trying two devices with the same defect and calling support with no good ideas, I'm returning the devices. When testing the second device, I found that the issue only occurs when two speakers are connected. This doesn't happen when I only have one plugged in or using headphones. My speakers are old…

Overwhelmed: Home Theater

I decided to replace the BT speaker I was using in a very large bedroom and bought this. I added a pair of Bic bookshelf speakers that I once used as the rear channel in a surround sound system and a Polk subwoofer that I didn't use. I received the comments in the posts and spent a few minutes playing around with the equalizer in Spotify. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Much better than I had hoped. Huge sound stage. Really warm, rich overtones. I'm doing something I haven't done in a long time…

Electro Shocks & Loose Clips

I was very pleased with this product, the first one that came had loose clips in the canal so I returned it for a replacement. A new one arrives and I hook it up to my Pioneer SP-BS22 and the 8" subwoofer I used on a Denon receiver. I turn it on, turn the volume up to about 1/10 and it gives me 3-5 quick shocks coming from the amp volume knob. I just checked and both the left and right speakers were grounded correctly and I have used this speaker wire on 3 different amps, I have also used these

Great performance at a great price

With an all-metal body (plastic transformer cover) and comfortable handles, the fit and finish is excellent for the price. The main reason I originally looked at it was the fact that it has a subwoofer output (most other tube amps are stereo only) and I have an old active subwoofer that I wanted to use. I've paired it with two Dayton Audio B452 speakers and a Sony subwoofer and it sounds great even with standard Chinese tubes (although I plan to try a few other types). It has two additional…

Too bright at high volume UPDATED.

Updated 2/2020 I bought a tube preamp with tone controls because I found the highs too bright (as I mentioned). Disabling the treble control on the preamp changed the world. I use Klipsch RP600M speakers (supposed to be 96dB) so I never turn this amp up more than halfway. It has a good soundstage and separation between instruments and voices. The biggest concern for me is the choice of lamps. It's a fairly unknown model and just looking at replacements I can't find much to choose from. I wanted

ridiculously good for $$$

I bought this item on a whim. I was just looking for a small amp for some speakers in my bedroom. wanted something small with multiple inputs and Bluetooth connectivity that could crank the speakers to decent volume and sound for bedroom listening. I'll start by saying my main setup in the living room is a Mcintosh C28 preamp, a Mcintosh 2205 amp and Proac Studio 100 speakers running a Mcintosh CD player, a VPI player and a mini Mac server with Play Schiit Audio DAC. My office system is an…
