I use an ASUS Essence STX on my desktop PC and have an old set of Onkyo 5.1 speakers + subwoofer that have been in the box for five years and had absolutely no electronics to connect them. . I decided to replace the BT speaker I was using in a very large bedroom and bought this. I added a pair of Bic bookshelf speakers that I once used as the rear channel in a surround sound system and a Polk subwoofer that I didn't use. I was very pleased with this product, the first one that came had loose clips in the canal so I returned it for a replacement. A new one arrives and I hook it up to my Pioneer SP-BS22 and the 8" subwoofer I used on a Denon receiver. Updated 2/2020 I bought a tube preamp with tone controls because I found the highs too bright (as I mentioned). Disabling the treble control on the preamp changed the world. I use Klipsch RP600M speakers (supposed to be 96dB) so I never turn this amp up more than halfway. It has a good soundstage and separation between instruments and voices.
