My son loves the shoes and wears them with a very short break from skateboarding. He never complained of an attack; However, he can wear them for a minute before outgrowing them. These shoes are very nice. However, the size is wide. Judging from previous reviews, most people had to size up shoes 1-2 sizes to fit them. That wasn't the case with me. I usually wear size 6-7 shoes, but I wear a size 4.5 with DC youth or men's sizing. I ordered a size 6 based on previous reviews. These shoes are VERY tight! Although the length was correct for a size 13 boy, they squeezed him in the widest part of the foot (between the arch and the toes). This has never been an issue with other shoes and it fits easily with his other size 13 shoes so this seems to be a direct issue with this shoe. I've compared them bottom to bottom against his other standard size 13 shoes and they're at least 1/4 inch narrower and more in the toe box. They're also very, very stiff - like there's a board
