Dewalt seems to have issues with ammo wear, freezing, etc. But this new drill feels more powerful and new, so far nothing slips. Remember. Choose a brand that you feel can be trusted because you don't want to be stuck buying different batteries and chargers.

Great little impact drill. Seems solid and since I have a few tools and max xr batteries I'm having great uptime. I like the 3 different speed options and when you spin/drill/hammer the clutch to different torque speeds it has a nice loud solid detent and click between each. .

Unlike previous DeWalt drills, this drill chuck requires an additional tight fit for a tight fit on the drill. It takes time to get used to. It actually makes the bit tighter, but it lasts longer than previous high-speed cartridges. If not pressed down by hand, it also tends to slip off.
