🦖 DCI T-Rex Tea Infuser, Tea Rex Dinosaur Tea Infuser Review

I like this teapot. It looks cool in the clear mug I have it in. Ideal for larger tea blends. Try to avoid finely chopped tea blends.

Absolutely delightful addition to my tea supplies. And functional too. Makes a good cup of tea and amuses everyone who sees it. Silicone is also easy to clean, but I recommend emptying and rinsing immediately after use for easier cleaning.

As a dinosaur lover, this is so sweet and necessary tea infused with it. Unfortunately this is only a novelty as it is difficult to pour tea into and also difficult to clean while the tea is still wet (if you want to replace the tea for the next cup).

It floats on the tea and doesn't sink in water so doesn't brew at all unless you hold it with your finger. Even then, a lot of air remains inside. When the tea finally hits the water, a few small bits of tea leaf break through the holes and end up in my tea. Pooh. upset.

Obviously this is an amazing product which is why I bought it. It makes a great cup of tea, but cleaning up used tea leaves is almost more trouble than it's worth. It can be washed in the dishwasher, but the leaves will usually still be attached to the rubber edges. The hole is too small to put your finger in and clean, and you can't turn it inside out.

Very cute, works great. Except that it's very painful to get the tea leaves out when it's time to peel them. I have to use a chopstick to dig up the old leaves. It doesn't have enough holes to just rinse off the leaves. Instead, I use a regular boring colander just because I don't want to bother cleaning this one. I'd like to give it a higher rating just because it's so damn gorgeous, but it really isn't worth the extra work required to use it.

I received this teapot for local brewing, but when I first wrapped it, there was no telling how much tea was in it. The tea inside is about the size of my thumb, not big enough at all to fit the tea leaves. The medium sized tea then slipped through the holes leaving large pieces of leaf in my tea. To remove the leaves I dug them out with a small butter knife because the hole was too small again. The only positive thing is that it's cute. Other than that, it's a waste of money.

I love this little guy because he's funny and I've always had a liking for silicone tea infuser nozzles. they prevented me from using it regularly: 1) the holes in its abdomen are a bit big, so more tea leaves come out than usual; 2) it might be a bit difficult to clean the inside; 3) The quality of the chain is not very durable. However, I really love this product. It brews well, holds up well and is just a lovely addition to my morning drink.
