This device is a combination of aerator and decanter. That's wonderful. It quickly saturates the wine as you pour it into the carafe and is ready to drink almost immediately. I have used this decanter for many vintages and grape varieties and have been very satisfied. On the way to the decanter and before aeration, the wine also goes through a filter. So if you have difficult corks, this decanter is perfect for them too. Highly recommended.

Outstanding carafe. The walls are thick and hard to the touch, not as thin and brittle as some might make it out to be. The big punt on the bottom gives it a nice look compared to the flat bottom. The screen on top feels solid, works great and can be completely disassembled for cleaning. It also holds very securely and I'm not worried about it falling out when pouring wine.
