Mine is blown good for aquarium pumps and filters

I blew it up. I don't know much about these things, but this device comes with bare wires and no plug. Apparently DC, and it's written on the device. I connected a plug to the wires, put it in, and it exploded or burst. it's pretty well filmed now. Maybe it's the amp. I have no idea. In any case, instructions on how to hook it up to a power source would be welcome. Since I don't know what I'm doing, I improvise when the pump is already broken. If you're as knowledgeable about electricity as I…

Powerful Water Flow in Mini Pack

I used this pump to circulate water in my 2.5 gallon fresh water tank. I am very happy with it. This is definitely the smallest submersible water pump I've come across and it packs a lot of power. In fact, the flow of water was so strong that it swept away my plants, like those trees in those videos of a devastating tropical storm. I ended up running a 12v 3.8v wall wart pump to tame it. The pump runs very quietly, probably due to the lower voltage. The supplied suction cups fix the pump…

Mixed feelings about water pumps

I have mixed feelings about the pump, so pros + cons Pros: - pumps water well - quiet Cons: - there is no mechanism to prevent water flow if the pressure inside is too high is high (i.e. too much water) it will overflow through the outlet - in combination with the previous paragraph I had one end of the outlet in the bottom and if there is a seal with a pipe + bottom water and dirt will recede into the pump I caught it quickly and if you can install it without submerging it in the ground, it…

good little pump for the money

I've been using this pump for almost 2 months in a test system due to some negative feedback. The pump is fully submerged in water, bringing the water column to a height of approximately 1' and passing through 2 (3-way) heat exchangers that have approximately the same internal diameter as the pump's inlet/outlet connections. The total length of the pipes used is about 8 feet. I run the pump continuously for 24 hours, then turn the pump on for 1 hour, then turn it off for 1 hour for 24 hours…

Perfect size for my fountain

Original review: This provided exactly the flow rate my fountain needed. Also, the wattage was low enough not to drain my solar panel and lipo batteries too much. A 20W Eco Worthy solar panel is around $28 and an Anself solar controller is around $15. There is a watt reserve versus watts consumed to ensure reliable flow with reserve power. This fountain came with a 115 VAC pump and worked perfectly. So why use solar energy? The fountain was moved to the other end of the walkway, which seemed…

Not what I thought.

I loved this pump and bought 2. I needed something small and low voltage to circulate water in two 10 gallon aquaponics for my sons (father son project). It was easy to set up, but once I started using it I realized I had to use a regular submersible. The pump was not self-priming. I had to suck on one end of the line each time to make it work. Once running, it moved the water well, but it definitely wasn't very quiet. I raised the water from the aquarium about 15 cm to the bed above and the…
