can't compete with these converters. For $100 this is the best and most reliable. We have many uses for our church video system. I prefer them over Blackmagic converters.

Update: 2 weeks later. I bought 2 of these and the SDI connections stopped working on BOTH. Stay away from them. What is the probability that both are defective?

I use them all the time. You can't go wrong. It's great that there's only one type, not the "transmitter" and "receiver" that you find in other things like Cat 5 extenders.

Installed them on two TVs with a 150ft SG-6 cable and everything worked without any problems. I was very satisfied with the quality of the device and the ease of installation. Well if I could just find an easy way to route cables life would be good!

I bought several of these converters to replace "3G" converter boxes which were actually 1, BlackMagic 5G Converter Boxes (1080i/59.94) were and others. They're also bidirectional (HDMI to SDI or vice versa), which can be handy.

I have a customer who had to convert their TV from S-Video connection to HDMI for a better solution for colonoscopy. The gear they currently have only has an SDI output for digital resolution. I hooked up this bad boy and it worked right away. Very happy with the product.

I like this versatile device. It's bi-directional, SDI-HDMI. HDMI to SDI. And save as a post-amplifier for long HDMI connections. small. Powered via USB with included USB power adapter. stable. however happen. You cannot change the resolution from input to output like other thinning devices. but other than that I love the product.

This is an amazing little device. The ability to use it the other way around is optional and the price is good. I will recommend this device to anyone looking for an SDI to HDMI or HDMI to SDI adapter. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that the power consumption isn't the best as it looks like it could break easily.

We've had some annoying problems with our Livestream Studio HD550 receiving input from some of our new cameras. Audio and video from mixed SDI and HDMI outputs are out of sync between cameras of different brands and ages. (The old cameras worked fine, the new ones didn't.) Putting in the decimators fixed everything. The signal level now corresponds to the switch.
