Description of Deck Man Decking Hardware Non Turnbuckle

This is Non-Turnbuckle System according to principle of screwing L&R handed thread lag at the same direction and the both lags will go into the opposite direction,So the cable will be tightened by the R&L handed thread lags without torsion force and damage; The length of cable spanning capability of this kit is the same as other common cable railing kits;. This cable railing hardware was made of Marin Grade T316-Stainless Steel, and it can be used indoor and outdoor;. The total length of this lag is 4.1 inch,Length of thread bar is 2 inch, this cable railing lag fit standard 1/8 inch(3.2mm)steel wire rope;and the length of cable is 1 inch shorter than the distance of inner edges of posts which on both sides usually to be recommended;. This Right&Left hand thread screw lags are connected with cable need by using hydraulic crimper(This item not include),and this item go with a correct size dill bit and a special wrench;. When you really understand this non-turnbuckle system, you will find the swage turnbuckles and other trivial parts are not necessary in cable railing system,And this system will be more durable and beautiful.

A tool alone is worth it.

The clamping tool alone is worth it. I got this along with many others from many other brands. The deckhand was of a higher quality and the instrument was fantastic.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Great product in Handrail

They worked very well. Much easier to install with two people. I definitely recommend the hydraulic press. I was approached by a few people who have cable railings and both were impressed with how nice the finished product looked.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Flimsy

Best appearance in deck and railing

These cable ties/tensioners work great and leave a nice clean look. Cutting the cable to the correct length for the screw threads to go into the rack after achieving the correct cable tension was the hardest part of using it.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Minor issues

Looks great! on Decking & Fencing

I installed it about a month ago and am very satisfied. They look amazing and give a much better view over the railing. You have to be very precise when drilling holes in wood. I used a template and a drill press to find all the hole locations and drill holes. It takes a while to install properly, but I'm very satisfied!

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • I really don't like it, everything is fine

Overall excellent product

These are excellent pull bolts and definitely require a hydraulic swaging tool (port shipping is the best value). I was happy with the quality but felt an extra tension tool should have been included in the 60 piece set as two of these would have made the installation so much smoother! The drill bit is very sharp but when installing screws I prefer the hole to be slightly smaller than the width of the shank so make sure it fits snugly so this doesn't work for me.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Easy to install and good looking

Very easy to use and install, just make sure you have a second person. I installed in cedar poles so I ended up using a 5/32" bit instead of the one that came with it to get a bigger bite. The direction said to shorten the post spacing by 1" and that was fine for shorter spans, but once you get past 6ft I found 1 1/4" much better. The same applies if you run inclined cables on stairs. Save some extra money and buy a hydraulic crimping tool for cargo connectors and use 6 AWG terminals.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic controls

A good system is best in railings

Not sure how it would work or how long it would take. We built a fairly large deck with over 700 feet of cable and about 50 pairs of gear in one day (2 people is key). I was afraid it would take longer. The hardware worked fine. I used a slightly smaller pilot hole drill bit than the one that came with it. The wrench included in each box worked great and the tabs went in easily. it looks cool Let's see how it holds up. Thumbs up for a hydraulic crimping machine. Rather than reducing the length…

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some small things
