DECKER EasyCut Extra Tall Opener EC500W Review

Very disappointed with this can opener. Replaced mine under the counter with one that broke with this one and regret taking this one. The handle is easy to remove, the cans do not open well, the can opener is not good at all.

We have a hobby farm with 6 rescued dogs and cats. I open a few cans of pet food every day. Some can openers break within the first week. This one is quiet, fast, a great magnet and still works great!

I've read a number of reviews about different brands and they all got bad reviews for being cheaply made and I almost didn't bother to order them until I saw Black and Decker. It got good reviews and I add 👍 to the reviews. Well done and works great! This is an addendum to my original review. It's been over a year now and it's still working great. This is exactly what I was hoping for, a well made knife that will last.

I read the reviews and found that people in their 70's had no trouble and liked it while people in their 20's couldn't figure it out . Even though I'm only in my 50's I was disappointed that I paid more for a handle style only to have them fall apart and stop working after 6 months. If I had written that when I first got the opener it would have been a different story, it was great at the beginning! The return window closed 2 1/2 weeks ago and is now. Pooh. He doesn't want to pierce the jar to open it, so he walks on the surface, leaving metal shavings. On the 4th or 5th try it will finally pierce the glass but I have to wipe the edges trying to get the tiny bits of metal out so I don't feed them to my dogs.
