I was disappointed. This "Lamp Black" is matte black color, I haven't seen many matte black lamps. I wanted to use this to repair small chips in a Black Panther lamp and this DecoArt Flat Paint really stands out. At least it can be washed off with clear water.

There's not much to be gained! This tube is perfect for those who don't use it as often as a real artist. The formula seems to dry quickly if left out in the air, so work quickly. It also stains plastic pallets. All in all I would buy it.

I used another so-called quality black ink which disappointed me because the opacity was poor. I went for another color and settled on this one. That's incredible. Excellent coverage in one coat, at least for my purposes, and a deep, matte black. I am very satisfied and wish I had had the courage a few years ago to try a different brand for this long term project.
