1 use before the teflon falls out

1 star for use before the teflon sheet is peeled off. I can stick it back but I've only used it ONCE. I jacked up one side of my car then was about to jack up the other side when I noticed the liner had fallen off.

Pros
  • Hands-free work

Well done there is one small problem

The adapter works exactly as advertised and I love the addition of hard plastic magnets in the washer groove. My only issue was that both the plastic and the magnets weren't attached well to the aluminum. I solved the problem by welding the pieces together and now it works like a charm!

  • This is amazing

Great Pinch Weld Adapter

Many passenger cars use these welds as jack points, without one of these adapters you would bend out of this area of the car (just jack up the frame if that's an option). In any case, this adapter fits perfectly and is well finished so as not to damage the car at the jacking points provided.

  • Confident

Useful addition to the shop

I can't think of anything that I don't like about this product. I have seen many welds due to improper lifting, this item prevents that type of damage. The magnets are pretty strong too. I forgot to manually remove the adapter from the seam after use. A few days later, the car's owner found the adapter still magnetically attached to the car.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Security

The problem is solved. Crimp Adapter

This is a great little tool to help you jack up new cars that require under welding. Most new cars have a notch or line to help you find the correct lifting point. Unfortunately, if you use a standard jack, you can easily damage or bend the jack's factory point. Using this tool is as simple as 1) finding the correct jack point, 2) placing the magnet mount right on the weld, 3) placing the jack under the jack and pushing it out. The fact that it's magnetic is a real plus as the tool stays in…

A must have for do-it-yourself car builders

This is a real life saver if you do a lot of work with your cars and need to lift them, buy one or 4. It protects your welds really well and is the perfect size. To confirm how strong the magnet actually is, I may have left it on the underside of my car after applying the brakes. A few rainy days passed and after about 200 miles I remembered it was down there and still attached. Oops! My only complaint is that the magnetic part (see the white plastic part in the photo) has detached from my real

Great idea but dangerous

I tried using this adapter to weld with a two ton jack on two different cars and found that there were two problems with them. While this is a great idea and very well done and may work on some cars and some jacks, it didn't work in my case. It seems that automobile clamp stitches are not made with "flat" or "rectangular" shoulders. That is, as you slide the swage adapter up over the swage joint, it "lowers" on one side of the weld before doing so on the other, so the adapter is angled (in the…
