The phone is protected and works well. The case is still fairly new and could improve over time, but getting to the mute button and backlight port can be tricky. As expected, removing the phone from the case is not easy.

I have been using Otterbox Defender cases for over 10 years. You have never let me down. I bought this because the foil on the home button on my old one was so damaged that Touch ID stopped working. The old one was a few years old so I wasn't worried. I have a new one less than 2 weeks old and the foil is already so damaged that Touch ID no longer works. And that with normal everyday use.

I've used OtterBox on all my iPhones and have been great protected except this time I got a new case, on the bottom of the case where you press the button to wake up the phone, it looked thin but I didn't see any cracks in it. About two weeks ago I kept noticing small bits of sand and moisture behind the screen of the case after cleaning it several times My return date has expired! I will buy OtterBox again because I know it's a good product and I don't blame the seller and it's more my fault…
